Waltham Members Day!  Tiger Moth in distress! Fortuitously the magneto failure was discovered early, because the aeroplane was needed for a display in the afternoon.  The local engineer couldn’t do it that day.  Who did I call? Mike Wigg, of course.  Long way from Duxford to White Waltham (1.5 hrs). Mayday! Mayday! Mayday! Mike.  Immediate reply - "I’ll re-jig my day’s plans - I’m on my way."  Arrived at the same time as I did (having collected a new magneto from home).  An hour later, Tiger Moth serviceable and ready for the afternoon display. 

Mike has everything in his van - no excuse as for not getting the job done - it’s all there Efficient and nothing is too much trouble.  He sources whatever spares are required - just leave everything to him.

You don’t get engineers like Mike, and I’m not giving you his phone number!

Mike has performed maintenance on my Tiger Moth for the last few years. He has always kept to reasonable timescales and costs. Last year he conducted a cylinder head change alongside the annual C of A check. I am delighted with the result and would recommend Mike for all of your maintenance and servicing requirements.
